Engineering Training
SCDC’s team consists of researchers and engineers from a variety of backgrounds including but not limited to mathematics, water resources, and statistics. Our team members are affiliated with a wide range of national and international universities, and research institutes. SCDC participated, and has the resources and capabilities to participate, in a wide range of projects covering different aspects of the international educational/research processes.
Since SCDC’s foundation, our teams participated in several international collaboration projects at professor’s level as well as student’s level. SCDC’s teams arranged professional visits for professors, engineers, and researchers from around the globe to attend programs in the USA and overseas.
Our main activity since our start was summer training programs for young professionals and undergraduate students from overseas at American universities, engineering firms, and companies.
SCDC organized programs at:
- University of Louisiana at Lafayette,
- Emerson Process Management,
- University of Iowa,
- American University Washington College of Law,
- John H. Carter, and
- Intertek.
SCDC helped trainees to attend its summer training programs at the different locations across the USA from:
- Jazan University in Saudi Arabia,
- Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport in Egypt, and
- Université Saint-Joseph Law School in Dubai, UAE.
SCDC takes pride in being able to customize educational, cultural, and training programs for college-level students as well as industry professionals.
Some key metrics for SCDC’s training team:
- Organized and executed more than 40 weeks of training with a budget of more than $1,000,000.
- SCDC provided practical training for participants from Colleges of Engineering and Law Schools.
- Our training programs scored an average of A- in funding institutes evaluation.
- Post-training evaluations showed ~20% enhancement in trainee’s performance than pre-training evaluations.
